Obituary For Leroy L. Titus
Leroy L. ‘Roy’ Titus, 77, Rapid City died Saturday July 25, 2009 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Survivors are his wife of 57 years, Ruth Titus, Rapid City; two sons, Larry (Norma) Titus, Rapid City; Mike (Landa) Titus, Bullhead City, AZ; two daughters, Colette (David) Murner, Rapid City; Sandy (Randy) Sigel, Rapid City; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one brother, Ray Titus, Rapid City; three sisters, Lucille (Bernard) Anders, Rapid City; Barbara (Bob) Britt, Rapid City and Bonnie (Don) Zimmerman, Yuma, AZ. He was preceded in death by one sister, Lotus Titus and both parents. Roy was born in Sulphur, Meade Co., SD, on October 8, 1931, to Lawrence L and Anna J (Lungberg) Titus. He met Ruth Ann Williams in Faith, SD and they were married in Rapid City on June 30, 1952. They lived and ranched in the Faith area until moving to Rapid City in 1957. Roy worked as a carpenter, rancher/farmer and then at Barber Transportation where he retired after 20 years. Roy and Ruth enjoyed their retirement, golfing, traveling and wintering in Yuma, AZ.
