Obituary For Linda Lou Amick
Linda Lou (Arthurs) Amick (69) of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
Linda was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Lawrence and LaNore (Higgins) Arthurs on April 29, 1957. In 1960, they relocated to Mellette, South Dakota, where she attended school.
In 1979, Linda relocated to Rapid City, South Dakota, where she and her husband Doug raised their family and built a life together until her passing. For majority of those years, you could find Linda next to Doug in the shop working on the racecar or at the track participating in some way in the sport that they loved. As their family grew and Linda became a Grandma and Great Grandma, her time was spent doting on her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Each one of them held a special place in her heart and her whole world revolved around them. She was so proud. To know Linda was to love her. She is described by her friends as kind, caring, and giving. She had a smile that lit up the room and if anyone was in need, she always did what she could to help. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Linda is survived by her husband Doug, her children; Jennifer (Tim) Farren, Gretchen (Jay) Amundson, and Lynn (Jen) Amick. Grandchildren; Heath (Tasha) Amundson, Tyler (Rainen) Amundson, Rachel (Austin) Miller, Trae Farren (Kylie Hemstad), Casey Amundson, Kailey (Donovan) Dykes, Trenton (Taylor) Farren. Great Grandchildren; Zaiden Amundson, Nova Amundson, Athena Miller, Gunnar Miller, Osiris Miller and Jaxson Dykes. Siblings; Louise Simons, Terry (Pat) Arthurs, Irene Rothe, Diane Zahn, John Arthurs, and Julie Arthurs.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; Lawrence (Audrey) Arthurs, LaNore (Hank) Knutson. Her Father and Mother In-Law; Carroll and Zita Amick. Siblings; Laura Langton, Larry Arthurs, and Sheri Schneider.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and details will be provided as soon as possible.
Memorials may be sent to Behrens Wilson Funeral Home or to The Pennington County Humane Society in Linda’s name.
