Obituary For Lois Darlene Fisher

Lois Darlene Haskell Fisher passed away on October 13, 2025. Lois was born in Sundance, Wyoming on June 24, 1937, to Clarence and Winnefred (Hickel) Haskell.

Lois lived in Belle Fourche & Sturgis before moving with her family to Rapid City. She married Owen Fisher on September 12, 1952. Lois & Owen moved to Hill City in August 1971. Lois learned her love for nature from her mom that lived next door. She could identify birds by their call and loved feeding chick-a-dees from her hand, her favorite bird.

Lois had a love for her flower garden, books, crocheting, wood crafts, collecting rocking horses, flower arranging, fishing, country & Irish music, but most notably her beautiful artistic ability. Lois moved back to Rapid in September of 2007, but her heart was always at her home in Hill City.

Lois is survived by her son Tim (Rhonda), granddaughter Amber (Dan), grandson Mike (Laura), granddaughter Carrie, granddaughter Erica, grandsons Garett (Chelsee), Luke (Clancy), granddaughter Jessica, sister Elenor “Dolly”(Gerald), numerous great grandchildren & nieces & nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Owen, sons Mark & Scott, infant twins Owen Michael & Catherine Jo, grandsons Owen Jay and Zack, two brothers Eugene & Rolland and sister Carol.

Lois will be buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery next to her husband, children & grandson.
