Obituary For Lois E. Bordeaux

Lois E. Bordeaux, 78, Rapid City, died Friday, August 1, 2014 at Fountain Springs Health Care.She was born April 22, 1936 in Burlington, VT to John and Dorothy (Abare) Demo. She grew up in Vermont and married Arnold E. Bordeaux on November 13, 1954 in Waterbury Center, VT.They lived in various places settling in the Rapid City area in 1969 where she has lived ever since.She has worked as an LPN in several places, as a clerk at Wall Drug, as a dispatcher for the Fire Department and was the first and only female mayor of Wasta.Lois was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she had held the position of state President.Lois is survived by 5 daughters, Eileen Rivers, Chadron, NE, Teresa (Don) Molstad, Susan (Simon) Eaton, JaneBeth (Al) Dare all of Rapid City, Kimberley (Lance) Stansbury, Sturgis; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a brother, Daniel (Hilda) Green, Waterbury Center, VT.She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold, daughter, Tina Peer, great grandson, Tanner Jurisch and son-in-law, Kevin Fleming.
