Lois M. Whitley, 88, Rapid City died Thursday March 19, 2009 at Clarkson-Mt. View Healthcare. She was born February 18, 1921 in Dallas, SD to Fred and Sara (Tracy) Lang. She graduated from Dallas High School. Lois married Bernard R. Whitley on Sept. 16, 1939 in Butte, NE. They farmed north of Dallas for many years before moving to Rapid City in 1957. Lois was a member of the Canyon Lake United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 22 Auxiliary and the Minneluzahan Senior Center. She enjoyed dancing and playing cards with friends. Lois is survived by her son Daniel Whitley, Rapid City and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard R. Whitley, March 24, 1986, 1 son, Terry Whitley and 12 brothers and sisters.
