Obituary For Lorraine Rickel

Lorraine L. Rickel went to meet her Lord on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Fountain Springs Health Care. She moved to Rapid City in 2007 to live with her daughter Debby and son-in-law “my Daniel”. She was born in Holiday, Texas; lived in Burkburnett, then on to Wichita Falls. There she met and married H. Eden “Ricky” Rickel. They moved and eventually settled in Encino, CA where they raised their children Roy and Debby. She loved to cook and she was exceptional! Music, dancing and giggling were her ‘favs’. She moved to Fountain Springs in late 2012 where she received tender loving care. We want to thank the staff for the excellent care she received there, they are the best. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and De Alva, brothers Don and Phillip and husband Ricky. She leaves behind Debby and Dan Schaller, Rapid City; granddaughters, Julie (Tony) Lorenzen, MN; Katy (Tom) Steele, CO; Amy Schaller, ME; Laura Schaller/Shawn Myers, Rapid City and her beloved great grandchildren, Clementine Myers and Atticus and Fiona Steele; sisters-in-law Jean Roy and Paula Roy, Texas. She will be sorely missed, but we are thankful and very blessed for having her in our lives.
