Obituary For Loyce Zadiene Harville

Loyce Zadiene Harville was born on July 5, 1933, to William (Willie) Freeman and Delphia Freeman in Ponca City, OK. She passed into glory on Sept. 10, 2025, in Rapid City, SD.

Loyce is preceded in death by her parents, William and Delphia Freeman, her in-laws, Kern and Ina Harville, her twin sister Joyce Norsworthy (James Norsworthy). Betty Johnson (Monroe Johnson), and son-in-law, Gary Wayne Talley.

Loyce leaves behind her beloved husband, of 72 years, Robert Gene Harville, son Ron Harville (Iva Harville), Cheryl Talley, and Marla Sydnor (Bruce Sydnor). Also 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.

Our mother had so many joys in life from singing with her sisters in church while growing up and picking the guitar. She loved raising her voice in praise and leading song service. As a young adult, wife and mother she also was a youth leader for the girls in church. She truly had a heart for God and doing His will.

During the holidays, you could smell the sweet aromas coming from our family kitchen as our mother baked her pies, made her candy and cookies. She even sold her pies for the holidays and was overwhelmed with how many people wanted them.

One of her other favorite hobbies was crocheting. Everything from dolls to kitchen towels and Afghans. You could always find her with a crochet hook and yarn in her hands.

Our father was the love of her life. After dating for a brief time, while he was home on leave from the Korean War, he asked our mother to marry him. She said yes and 72 years later they were still holding hands until God called her home. They are the perfect testimony of unconditional love.

Our mother will be dearly missed. Our comfort and peace comes from our lord Jesus, knowing He is cradling her in His arms.

Aunt Loyce was a caring Christian model for me my whole life. She and Uncle Bob would pick me and my brothers up for church everytime our parents would allow us to go. Uncle Bob shared the plan of salvation with me when I was 8. Those two have been the steadies in my life. They didn't just practice religion, they actively shared the Good News of their Savior. I will miss Loyce's prayers for me. I will have to step up my prayer life. Because she's in Heaven with Jesus and the rest of our dear relatives, and I wouldn't miss Heaven for the world! Ty for the live stream. It blessed my heart.
