Lucille V. Anders, 88, Rapid City, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Sturgis Regional Hospital. “On November 9, 2014, I became whole again, with a mended heart forever united with the love of my life.” Lucille V. Anders was born on January 23, 1926 to Lawrence and Anna Titus. Her younger years were spent in Sulpher, Faith and Lead. While in high school she met her future husband Bernard Anders. They were married October 31, 1944 and to this union four daughters were born; Linda, Bernadette, Anita and Connie. Lucille worked for many years at Rushmore Mutual Life Insurance Company and finished her working years as head of data processing at National College, now known as N.A.U. In retirement, she and Bernard traveled in their motor home, enjoying many winters in Blythe, CA, where many life long friends were made. She is survived by three daughters, Linda White (Larry) and Connie Huntington (Brian Fuhrmann), all of Rapid City and Anita McCord (Tom Keiner), Spearfish; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Survivors also include two sisters, Barbara Britt (Bob) and Bonnie Zimmerman (Don); sisters-in-law, Ruth Titus, Carolyn Anders and JoAnne Strong; brother and sister-in-law Ronnie and Wanda Anders and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard, her parents, infant daughter Bernadette Anders, brother Roy Titus, sister Lotus Titus, brother and sister-in-law Ray and Vi Titus, brothers-in-law Marvin Anders and Floyd Strong and brother and sister-in-law Vernon and Doris Anders.
