Lupe V. Arroyo, 81, Phoenix, AZ and formerly of Hill City, SD passed away Oct. 10, 2006 in Phoenix. Lupe, born Feb. 24, 1925 in Walsenburg, CO was one of 5 children born to Florentino and Ramoncita (Martinez) Vallejos. She married Salvador “Joe” Arroyo April 4, 1943 in Ovid, CO, moving to Hill City, SD in the 1960’s.Lupe is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joe Arroyo, Phoenix, AZ; 3 daughters, Rita Gladson-Melendez, Phoenix, AZ; Ilene Hagen, Hill City, ; Sally Jo Larson, Cheyenne, WY; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and 1 sister, Flossie Ronje, Corpus Christi, TX. She is preceded in death by 1 daughter, 3 siblings and 2 grandsons.
