Obituary For Margaret A. 'Marge' Ashley

Margaret Anna Maria (Strickland) Ashley AKA Margie & Marge was a spitfire. She was the hottest and brightest match in the box, and that fire burned within her every day of her life.

Marge had high standards and a strong sense of accountability for herself and for others, and she encouraged and challenged her loved ones with her well intentioned stubbornness because she cared so deeply and loved so fiercely.

Marge worked tirelessly to model perseverance and teach her children to be industrious, independent, hard-working adults.

You could count on Marge to show up and always have your back; but she might sneak a good zinger or prank on you while you weren’t looking.

Marge was an excellent list maker who could not rest until every item was checked off.

To Steve and the rest of Marge's family, I'm very sorry for your loss. I had the honor and privilege of working alongside Marge for many years at BHFCU. She was a wonderful teammate and was always patient with imparting her knowledge upon us all. I enjoyed getting to know her over the years. She became a good friend and had a wonderful laugh. My hope is that your happy memories help you through this time. My sympathies to you all.

Marge lived around the corner from me when I was a kid growing up in Belle Fourche. It seemed like it was a large family who lived in a small house. They were good neighbors. I always wondered if Marge married Steve because he had a fast back Mustang. I'm guessing not. Rest in Peace neighbor girl.
