Margaret Ella (Pengra) Ball, 93, died Monday April 2, 2007 at Mesa General Hospital, Mesa, Arizona during her pacemaker replacement surgery.Margaret was born June 25, 1913 at Buffalo Gap, South Dakota, a daughter of Charles F. and Ella Margaret Pengra. The Charles Pengra family moved from Wisconsin in 1909 to Buffalo Gap. Margaret had six siblings; five brothers and one sister, Lee Edwin, Ray F., Charles B., Donald J., Marshall H., and Janet (Pengra) Foss all now deceased.She graduated from the Rapid City High School with the class of 1933. She married Melvin (Mel) Ball in Redfield, South Dakota on November 30, 1934. They had one daughter, Gale Orrine Ball. Margaret was a member of the Blythe, California Intaglios Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.Mel and Margaret Ball were long time residents of Piedmont, South Dakota before moving permanently to Quartzite, Arizona.Survivors include husband Melvin Ball, daughter Gale (Ball) Klein Goosen of Quartzite, two grandsons, Peter Klein (Julie), and David Goosen of Escondido, California. Great grandchildren include Army W/O Peter Klein (Sarah) of Ft.
