Obituary For Margaret H Wickler
Margaret H Wickler, 85, Rapid City, died Sunday July 21, 2012 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was born June 6, 1928 in Yankton to John and Mildred (Lien) Miller and she grew up in Tyndall and Volga. She graduated from the SDSU in Brookings in 1950 with a major in English Journalism and then worked part-time for Dean Volstorff. Margaret married Don Wickler of Jackson, MN on March 20, 1948. She was an Air Force wife from 1952 to 1975 and was a resident on Air Force Installations in Texas, Virginia, North Dakota, Montana, California, South Dakota, Wyoming and Alaska. Margaret was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rapid City for 38 years and was active in vocal and hand bell choirs. She was a homemaker for decades at their home on Brookside Drive. In July 2007, she and Donald moved into Westhills Village. Margie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Don, Rapid City; two sons Dan Wickler, Mesa, AZ and Tim Wickler, Rapid City; three grandchildren, Josh Wickler, Pine, CO; Eric Wickler, Newbury Park, CA and Kaitlyn Wickler, Mt Baldy, CA.
