Obituary For Margaret Peggy' Thompson

Margaret “Peggy” Thompson, 92, lifelong resident of Rapid City, died Tuesday Oct. 24, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Center in New Underwood. Peggy was born March 27, 1914 to Arthur H. and Rex (Ferry) Spayde in Rapid City, where she grew up and graduated from Rapid City High School. She spent two years during WWII in Portland, OR and worked at the Vancouver Shipyards. Peggy married Russell M. Loban in Rapid City on July 23, 1939. She was the Office Manager at the Physicians and Surgeons Building for 27 years, retiring in 1979. Peggy married Thomas I. Thompson in Rapid City on July 31, 1970.She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, LaSociete de Femmes, VFW Auxiliary and the First Presbyterian Church. Peggy is survived by her cousin Sharon O’Neill and her family, Pueblo, CO; nephew James Thompson and wife Gail, Rapid City, and special friend Ann Jorn, Grand Junction, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, March 20, 1977; her parents and 1 sister Shirley S. Kambak
