Marjorie Hix, 84, Rapid City died Wednesday Feb. 13, 2008 at Golden Living Center Prairie Hills.She was born August 2, 1923 in Montrose, SD to Wilbur W. and Helen (Petersen) Hoare.Marjorie married Everett Hix on February 22, 1943 in Frederick, OK. They lived in Mitchell, SD where they worked and raised their children. She worked at several restaurants before retiring in 1975 to move to Deerfield.After her husband's death in 1987, she moved to Valley View Apartments in Rapid City until recent years when she became a resident of Golden Living Center Prairie Hills on Mountain View Rd. Marjorie is survived by 4 children, Jo A. and husband Alan Sherman, Mitchell, SD; Don and wife Veronica Hix, Rapid City; Donna J. Leibbert, Galveston, TX; Ed Hix; Torrington, WY; 7 grandchildren, Raema Neugebauer, Mitchell, Rita and husband Brad Fockler, Phoenix, AZ, Dr. Roxie Strand & Julie Kosloski, Phoenix, AZ, Mary and husband Frank Evans, Rapid City, Everett and wife Jennifer Hix, Rapid City, Jason and wife Pamela Leibbert, Kansas City, KS, Jennifer and husband Nathan Brandt, USAF Ramstein, Germany; 7 great grandsons, 5 great granddaughters; 1 great great granddaughter; 2 brothers, Gene Miller and family, Colorado and John Miller and family, Oregon and many friends who shared her life for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Hix Jan. 4, 1987.
