Obituary For Marjorie Jean Macomber

Marjorie Jean Macomber, 78, passed away February 19th, 2026 at the Monument Hospice House in Rapid City, South Dakota.

She was born to Willard and Dorothy Ball on November 10th, 1947 in Redfield, South Dakota. She attended Doland High School and graduated in 1966. Marjorie married Donald Warren and had three sons: Lance, Casey, and Cody.

Marjorie was very active in the community of New Underwood where her children attended school. She enjoyed this small town life and even learned how to belly dance, much to the amazement of her family.

Marjorie married Marcellous (Mac) Macomber on September 22nd, 1992.

Marjorie attended and graduated from National American University as well as Black Hills Cosmetology. She loved helping family and friends look their best and talking a good story as well.

She loved researching family history and had made connections all over the world tracking down the family heritage. Another love was making baby and graduation quilts for her children and grandchildren. She put endless hours into making sure each stitch was placed with love. One thing that she greatly loved was being a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marcellous (Mac) Macomber, her mother Dorothy Boehler and father Willard Ball. She leaves behind 3 sons, Lance Warren, Casey (Dawn) Warren and Cody (Jennifer) Warren, numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Rose Schmike and brothers Robert (Linda) Ball, James (Ella) Ball, and Kenneth (Lori) Ball.

There will be a private family memorial planned at a future date. In lieu of flowers or other gracious gifts, please donate to the Monument Health Hospice House if you are able.
