Obituary For Marlene E. Cranmore
Marlene E. Cranmore, 80, Rapid City, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015. Marlene Eyvonne Stephenson was born Sept. 7, 1935, to Dallas & Amanda Stephenson in Scottsbluff NE. She was the oldest of 3 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother.Marlene worked in the family surplus store before graduating High School. After graduation she started her career at Masek’s Auto Supply where she handled the Rocky Mountain Kawasaki Division. She married her true love Dwane Cranmore on Nov 8th 1959 and they were blessed with a son. Truly ahead of her times, Marlene was a career woman with a husband and child. She liked going on adventures, driving fast, playing her accordion and singing gospel songs. Winning a trip to Japan through work was one of her favorite adventures to tell stories about. She had faith in God and loved everyone. Her smile could light up a room, her hugs could erase the worst of days and she was always quick with the laughter. She is survived by her husband, son, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and her sister. And is dearly remembered and missed by everyone her light touched.
