Obituary For Marlowe Edward Wilder

Marlowe Edward Wilder, 85, died Tuesday May 7, 2013 at his home in Rapid City. He was born June 18, 1927 to Eddie and Helen (Buckley) Wilder in Watertown. He married Doris Koskela January 26, 1949 in Rapid City; after being married for 63 years, Doris passed away June 18, 2012. Marlowe grew up in Scenic where he developed a love of the outdoors and horses. He joined the US Army on August 27, 1945 and was honorably discharged Jan 20, 1947. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. He worked for many years at the South Dakota Cement Plant as a foreman on the kiln floor Marlowe is survived by his children, Nancy (Bob) Needham; Bernie (Karen) Wilder; Barbara (Michael) Cox; Diane (Lewis) Losoncy; Connie (Rick) Dail; Roger Wilder; Marlowe Jr (Lori) Wilder; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and two sisters, Geraldine Hill and Donna Ickes. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris, June 18, 2012.
