Mary Ethel Francis, 91, Hills, MN and formerly of Rapid City, wife of Rev. Claude Francis, died Monday Jan. 24, 2011 at the Tuff Memorial Home. She was active in church; was a published author and lead chef at the White River Resort in Colorado. Mrs. Francis is survived by 4 daughters, Elaine (Jack) Harrison, Aurora, CO; Patricia (Richard) Lyke, Lebanon, OH; Shirley (Jim) Johnson, Stanton, ND; Janet Francis, Glade Park, CO; daughter-in-law, Winona Francis, Hills, MN; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 1 sister, Gladys Bollinger, Topeka, KS. She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Claude Francis, Dec. 17, 1986; her son C.E. ‘Roy’ Francis, Sept. 29, 2009 and 2 brothers, Richard and Robert Dougan.
