Obituary For Mary Ethel Rieb

Mary Ethel Rieb, 77, Rapid City, was born March 19, 1938 in Belle Fourche and passed away June 1, 2015 with her husband and family at her bedside. Mary and her husband Richard were married on June 17, 1959 in Belle Fourche. For many years, Mary worked at Sears, the majority of which were in the Paint Department where she was lovingly known as “The Paint Lady”. Over the years, Mary was devoted to the Lady’s Altar Society at St. Therese Catholic Church where she designed, printed and mailed thousands of cards to church members for holidays and birthdays, adding a personal touch to each card. She took great pride in designing creative and often humorous cards for her family, who looked forward to receiving them each holiday and birthday. Mary is survived by her husband Richard L. Rieb, sister Dorothea ‘Dottie’ Lewis; daughters Denise Twiggs and Ronda Rippee; son Richard Rieb and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
