Obituary For MSGT Shaye Adam Melton

Msgt. Shaye Adam Melton, 33, Rapid City, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at Regional Health’s Hospice House.Shaye was born April 24, 1982 in Belle Fourche to Regina Rae Estes and Curtis N. Melton. The family moved to Hot Springs when he was 4months old where he was raised and educated. Shaye graduated from Hot Springs High School in 2000. He was active in sports as well as enjoyed hunting and fishing.Shaye entered the United States Air Force on July 18, 2000 and served in numerous places including Ellsworth Air Force Base, England, Texas, and Guam returning to Ellsworth, October, 2014.Shaye married Jody L. Olstad on Nov. 4, 2006 in Hot Springs and together they have 3 children, Madelyn, Delaney and Theodore.He had a strong passion for his family and loved working on and rebuilding cars. His favorite place was always on the beach.He is survived by his wife, Jody; children, Madelyn, Delaney, Theodore all of Rapid City; parents, Regina and Mike Eichenberger, Gillette, WY; biological father, Curtis N. Melton, Lincoln, MT; sisters, Macie Wiles, Gillette, WY, Nikki Manke, Sioux Falls; mother and father in law, Don and Cathy Olstad, Hot Springs, sister in law, Jessica (Aaron) Benes, Brighton, CO, brother in law, Chad (Lisa) Olstad, Hot Springs and numerous nephews and nieces.
