Obituary For Myrtle I. Quinn
Myrtle Irene Quinn, 95, New Underwood, died Sunday May 6, 2007 at New Underwood Good Samaritan Center. Myrtle was born August 14, 1911 in Woonsocket, SD to Robert and Laura (Johnson) Davick. At a young age she moved with her family to Cold Springs where she was educated and then the family later moved to Belle Fourche. In Sept. 1930 Myrtle married Willard Quinn in Sturgis, SD. They moved to the Rapid City area until settling to New Underwood in 1943. Myrtle enjoyed gardening, flowers and she especially enjoyed baking bread. She attended the New Underwood Community Church and was active in Fidelis Circle. Myrtle is survived by 3 daughters, Dolores and husband Albert Crosbie; Patsy and husband Merlyn Fenner, all of New Underwood; Carol and husband Mack Deveraux, Calloway, NE; 2 sons, Bill Quinn, Lone Rock, WI; Jim and wife Kay Quinn, Post Falls, ID; 15 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard; 2 brothers, Rudolph and Elwin; 2 sisters, Inez Falch and Elenora Lowe and her daughter-in-law Joyce Quinn.
