January 28, 1976 – October 30, 2025
Nathan Kauffman, 49, of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away on October 30, 2025. He was born on January 28, 1976, in Denver, Colorado, and was lovingly adopted by his parents, Rich and Liz Kauffman.
Nathan was a man full of heart, humor, and a wonderfully unique spirit. He was passionate about so many things. Music, airplanes, Star Wars, Boba Fett, sports, travel, and Legos. Whether he was listening to his favorite songs, building a new Lego set, or sharing a laugh, Nathan brought joy and light to everyone around him.
Goofy, awkward, and completely himself, Nathan never shied away from showing love in his own special way. His kindness and warmth were constants in the lives of those who knew him. Above all, he loved his family and his animals with all his heart.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa, his daughter, Cadence, his parents, Rich and Liz, and his sister, Kara. His memory will live on in the love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the many lives he touched.
