Obituary For Norma Steinwandt

RAPID CITY | Mrs. Norma Steinwandt went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 6, 1923, in Ashley, ND, to Jacob and Margaret Nies Fischer.She married her beloved Bill Steinwandt on July 16, 1950, 65 years ago. She and Bill moved to Rapid City in 1954, where Norma worked for more than 30 years at First National Bank, later Wells Fargo. But Norma’s passion was to help people know the love and hope of Jesus Christ. She taught children in Sunday School for many, many years. And she served every week in a jail ministry for 34 years. She also served as a volunteer at Rapid City Regional Hospital for 32 years.Norma is survived by her beloved husband Bill; two sisters, Alma Bertsch, Ashley, ND, and Eloise Kelle, Minneapolis; a brother, Wilbert Fischer, Fargo, ND; as well as nieces and nephews. Above all, Norma leaves a legacy of faith, hope, and love.
