Olowan Monroe, 62 passed away on April 17, 2018 from Hospice in Rapid City, SD where she made her way to the spirit world, where she may rest in peace. She was born on June 10, 1955 in Porcupine, SD to James Monroe and Angela Smash Eyes Monroe.
Olowan is survived be her son, Anthony Flying Monroe, her daughter, Katy Whirlwind Horse of Rapid City, her granddaughters, Angela Turner, Cassidy Poor Bear, and Erna Poor Bear all of Rapid City, niece Carmen Poor Bear of Rapid City, and numerous great grandkids, cousins, nephews and many more.
Olowan was preceded in death by her parents, James Monroe and Angela Smash Eyes Monroe; Siblings, Valeria Monroe, Bill Monroe, Beverly Monroe, Dee Monroe, Payton Monroe; Daughter, Valeria Monroe, and her son Robert Whirlwind Horse.
