Obituary For Patricia Ann 'Pat' Goodman
Patricia (Pat) Ann Goodman, 72, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Rapid City Regional Hospice House after a brave battle against cancer. Pat was born May 28, 1937 in Hot Springs, SD and grew up there. After high school Pat settled in Rapid City where she lived most of her life. She enjoyed buying collectibles and antiques and was a crusader against animal suffering of any kind. Going to yard sales was her favorite Saturday morning past time. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend who was always “there” for others and ready to lend a helping hand. She will be remembered for her unique sense of humor, and her strength, and unwavering courage in the face of adversity. She is survived by her daughter, Winona Green of Box Elder, SD, her son Tom (Nancy) Wortham and grandson Tyler Wortham of Soldotna, Alaska, grandson, John Green of Box Elder, SD, granddaughter, Deanna (Loel) Prang and great-grandson, Steven Prang, of Rapid City, SD, niece, Robin (Gar) Squires of Black Hawk, SD, nephew, Jerry (Cynthia) Shagla of Rapid City, SD and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, George Beswick, her mother, Pearl Beswick-Spinner, a brother, John Beswick and sister, Betty Shagla, her great-granddaughter, Amber Dawn Green and her niece, Georgia Rohde.
