Obituary For Paul F. 'Pac' Pachowicz

Paul F. ‘Pac’ Pachowicz, 74, Caputa, died Friday, January 27, 2017 at Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Ft. Meade. Paul was born November 4, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI to Vincent and Lucille (Sczencsy) Pachowicz. He joined the US Air Force on June 15, 1960 serving during the Vietnam Era and receiving the first SGT of the year award ever issued. He retired from the USAF on June 30, 1990.Paul married Christine M. Schneider in 1965. They had 2 boys, Mark and Paul and were later divorced.He married Phyllis (Pugh) Thomas in 1975 in Lubbock, TX. He was stationed at Reese Air Force Base, Lubbock from 1975-1979 when he was transferred to Ellsworth Air Force Base. He spent 1982 in Greenland and returned to Ellsworth from where he retired.Pac enjoyed fishing, many times in Canada, hunting and was as avid softball player.He was a member o f the Eagles club.Paul is survived by his wife Phyllis, Caputa; 2 sons, Mark Pachowicz, Las Vegas, NV, Paul (Amy) Pachowicz, San Diego, CA; step children, Karl Boyter, TX , James Boyter, Sioux Falls, Adenna Bolander, Sebring, FL; granddaughter, Brianna (Sean) Watson, Rapid City and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren and a sister, Penny (Jim) Wolters, New Smyrna, FL.He was preceded in death by a daughter Memory Pachowicz, a step son, Jason Boyter, parents and a sister, Katherine Cobb.
