Obituary For Ramon 'Ray' Stuart Gimborys

Ramon S. 'Ray' Gimborys, 75, Rapid City, died peacefully Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Rapid City Regional Hospice House.He was born January 29, 1939 in Grand Haven, Michigan to John and Helen (Swincicki) Gimborys. Ray entered the US Air Force on September 20, 1956 and retired September 30, 1979 after 23 years of dutiful service. He spent many hours dedicating time to serving the community by volunteering in organizations such as TREA, Lions Club of Box Elder, Eagles Club and Knight of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Tadako 'Chieko' Gimborys on September 21, 2000.Ray is survived by his wife, Linda (Gimbel) Gimborys, children, James Gimborys, Teresa Powers, Thomas Gimborys; 6 grandchildren, Kyrsty, Shaylin, Katarina, Jon, Ryan, Dylan; step children, Jason Gimbel, Tara Nesthus, Travis Gimbel; a brother, Daniel Gimborys and a sister, Phyllis Davidson.
