Obituary For Randal S. Muir
Randal Scott Muir, 54, died at his home in Rapid City. The first of four sons, he was born January 17, 1953 at Camp LaJune Marine Corps Base in North Carolina, to Merle & Ann Muir. Growing up, Randy attended Jefferson Elementary School, South Jr. High School and graduated from Stevens High School in 1971. He married Ann Jedrykowski in 1974. As a young adult he was active in motorcross racing and working in pit crews at Black Hills Speedway. He married Sheri Sharp in December 1983. Three children were blessed to this union; Nicholas Scott Muir, Timothy David Muir and Danielle Cory Muir. His children were his pride and joy. Randy made sure each child owned and learned how to operate a fishing pole at a very young age.Randy was an active member of the West River 8 Ball League for many years. He played on several pool teams, but especially enjoyed teams consisting of himself, his three brothers and his father. Randy taught all three of his children to love the game of pool. Randy was a Welder, fabricator, and machinist for Hills Materials Company in Rapid City for 27 years. The title, Jack of All Trades, did not begin to describe the many talents that Randy displayed. If anyone needed something built, repaired, or rebuilt…just call Randy! Last, but not least, Randy loved humor. He always had a joke that he just had to tell you.Randy is survived by his three children, Nick Muir of Hermosa, SD, Tim Muir of Gillette, WY, and Dani Muir of Rapid City, SD. One precious Granddaughter, Rylee Ann Muir of Hermosa, SD, several nieces and nephews, one Uncle, Les Muir (Lois) of Rapid City, two Aunts, Donad Ivers (Ferrol) of Kirkland, WA and Marlys Seeman of Laramie, WY. He was preceeded in death by his parents Ann Muir in January 1995 and Merle Muir in October 1997.
