Obituary For Raymond C. Williams

Raymond Charles “Slick” Williams, Rapid City passed away Friday July 27, 2007 at his home. He was 69. Ray was born July 18, 1938 in Ashton, IL to Harry and Mary (Wietzel) Williams where he was raised. He married Marcella Marie Wattier in Rapid City on November 12, 1978. He was a loving husband; his children loved and respected him, as did their children. He valued his friends and their friendship, and was left with the pleasant memories they had created together. Ray was a roofer for over 25 years, working in Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota and Colorado. He enjoyed watching old Western movies, spending time in the Black Hills of SD and being with his family and friends. Ray is survived by 2 daughters, Didi Larson and husband Jeff, Lakeville, MN; Diane Marie Davis, Leggett, TX; 2 sons, Mark Williams and wife Rebecca, Longmont, CO; Nathan Williams, Rapid City; 5 grandchildren, Kelly Larson, St. Paul, MN; Krystal Davis, Leggett, TX; Adam Davis, Conroe, TX; David Williams, Port Arthur, TX and Dawn Williams, Apopka, FL; 2 great grandchildren, Heather and Nicholas Davis, Conroe, TX and 1 brother, Bobby Williams, Rochelle, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marcella, Feb. 8, 1995; 5 brothers, 4 sisters and 3 stillborn siblings.
