Obituary For Richard L. Steele
Richard L. Steele, 50, Rapid City, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and son went to be with our Lord on the morning of Nov. 3, 2009 surrounded by his family. Richard was born March 3, 1959 in Grenada, West Indies to Lenny and Carolyn (Reece) Steele. He graduated from Howell High School in Howell Township, New Jersey. He married Marie Van Sciver on July 25, 1977 in Howell Township, New Jersey. Richard joined the US Marine Corps shortly after graduation and spent eight years in duty stations here and abroad. Richard was a avid motorcyclist and loved to complete woodworking projects. The proudest moments of his life were his marriage and the births of his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time with his family. Richard is survived by his wife Marie Steele, Rapid City; his daughter Anette Williams, Longmont, CO; his son Richard L. Steele Jr, Fredrick, CO; his parents Lenny and Carolyn Steele, Rapid City; six grandchildren, Brittany, Mckenzie, Jordan, Jacob, Cameron and Isaac and two sisters, Karen (Steele) Humphrey, Erie, CO and Michelle (Steele) West of Berthoud, CO.
