Obituary For Rita Rose Borders
Rita Rose Borders, 73, died Wednesday June 20, 2012 at Rapid City Regional Hospital Auxiliary Hospice House. Rita was born in Montrose, South Dakota on December 3, 1938, to Shirley Dickenson and Frank Bies. She grew up in Montrose until the age of 12 when the family moved to Rapid City. Rita was married for a short time and lived in Okinawa, Michigan and California. Rita worked for 27 years at SCI-Control Data and enjoyed archery, painting and spending time with family. She is survived by her two sisters, Mary Ann (Jack) Hartinger, Francis Shirley Halverson, niece Cynthia Bradstream (Jeff), nephew Steve (Pattie) Paulsen, great nieces Jenifer (Justin) Harris and Jamie (Bryan) Chapman, great nephews Scott Paulsen and Matt Paulsen, great great niece Chandra Harris, and great great nephew Nigel Harris. Preceding Rita in death were her parents, Shirley Dickenson and Frank Bies.
