Robert Arthur Lacey

December 1, 1956 - November 24, 2025

Robert, the proud father of seven children, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away on November 24, 2025.

Robert spent his life expanding his knowledge. He spent time studying and dealing philatelies and was a lifetime member of the American Philatelic Society. He graduated from SUNY Alfred with a Bachelor’s of Science in 2000 with honors, earning the Coblentz Award and Undergraduate Tutor Award. He continued with his education and obtained his PhD with his thesis entitled, “A Study of the Microchemistry of Nanocrystalline BaTiO3 with Tetragonal and Pseudocubic Room Temperature Symmetries” in May 2008. He enjoyed staying on top of current events and debating politics.

Rob is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rosemarie Lacey and his seven children: Jennifer (Richard) Sheldon, Carolyn (Ronald) Myer, Monica Haddan, Jonathan Lacey, Samantha (Russell) Walton, Kristina (Christopher) Lazar, and Christopher (Kelly) Lacey. He also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren: Jake, Ian, Dominique, Sebastian, Shayla, Adina, Katelyn, Ayden, Aimee, Joseph, Matthew, Thomas, Oliver, Theodore, and Baby Lacey.

A Celebration of Life ceremony is planned for Spring 2026.
