Obituary For Robert 'Bob' Ray Batchelder

Bob was born in Hawarden, Iowa on October 1, 1936 to Leo and Frances (Green) Batchelder. He grew up there and graduated from Hawarden High School. After graduation he worked for Van Zenton Construction until being drafted in 1958. He served 2 years of service in Okinawa.

After service, he went to Norton, Kansas and worked for Van Buspick Construction.

After a few years he returned home and started working at the furniture mart in Hawarden, Iowa. It was during that time, he met his wife, whom he married on August 22, 1964.

In 1984, they moved to Rapid City, where they purchased Eastbrook Mobile Home Park, which they owned until retirement.
