Obituary For Rose Marie Johnson

Rose Marie Johnson, 43, Rapid City died Saturday March 29, 2008 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Rose Marie was born June 5, 1964 to Robert and Helen (Zoeller) Johnson in Rapid City. She was involved in the Black Hills Workshop and Special Olympics. She enjoyed Christmas, bowling, dogs and cats and loved country music. Rose Marie is survived by 2 brothers, Wayne (Nancy) Johnson; John Johnson; 2 nieces, Calli Marie Johnson; Amanda Jane Johnson and 1 nephew, Corey Robert Johnson all of Rapid City. She was preceded in death by her parents.We want to acknowledge and thank all of the Staff of Black Hills Workshop and Industries, past and present, who have worked, educated, transported, performed physical therapy, shed meals, kept records for, hugged and otherwise interacted and supported our sister, Rose Marie Johnson. The staff of BHW and Industries has taken time, patience and love to make the most out of our sister’s life and give her some peace, joy and meaning. If you know someone who works with special needs people, please be sure to thank them, hug them and encourage them to continue to do a job that only a special few can do. These people are Angles earning their wings, and do splendid work with folks who have a sometimes difficult road to travel in this life. Our sister, Rose passed away early Saturday morning and we want to give credit to those who credit is due, who helped make her life something we can remember with joy. God bless Rose’s other family.
