Obituary For Rosemary T. Bickett

Rosemary T. Bickett, 93, Rapid City, died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Fountain Springs Health Care, Rapid City, SD. She was born June 24, 1918 to Ernest and Rose Vera Johnson in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from North High School in Minneapolis in 1936, earned a Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Iowa in 1944 and later studied art and music at Black Hills State University in Spearfish. Rosemary worked as a physical therapist most of her life. She met her husband while working for the US Army at a rehabilitation hospital in North Carolina. She raised her family primarily in Mobridge and later worked as a physical therapist at hospitals in Rapid City, Pierre, and Spearfish. She married Robert James Bickett of Watertown, SD on November 10, 1945. Rosemary enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing the piano and gardening. Rosemary is survived by her children, Robert (Kelly) Bickett, Penny (Richard) Fuller, Peggy (Clifford) MacDonald, Jim Bickett, Marianne (Brian) Bickett-Belet, Betsy (Ran) Baartman, Kathy (Greg) Nucifora, and Jane Bicquette (John Vandenberg), 21 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert James Bickett, a daughter, Patricia Bickett, and son, Timothy Bickett.
