Obituary For Ruth Yellowhawk

Ruth Yellowhawk (Taho Kahwoka Win ‘Woman Who’s Voice is in the Air’) 50, Rapid City, passed on to the spirit world August 7, 2010 at her home in the sacred Black Hills with her family and friends by her side. Ruth is survived by her loving husband Jim Yellowhawk; son Gabe Yellowhawk; daughter Chase Sterling; her father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Johanna Yellowhawk; two sisters-in-law, Debby Spotted Tail, Diane Richards and their families; siblings, Bob (Nancy) Dawson, Mary Dawson, Mark Dawson, Annie (George) Gease, Patty Keel, Bill (Jodi) Dawson, John Dawson; Margie (Gary) Orahood; sister-in-law, Kathy Dawson and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Ruth is preceded in death by son Mathew, parents, Rita and Robert Dawson and her brother Paul J. Dawson. Ruth lived her life with her husband Jim and son Gabe in a way that had always served others, both spiritually and physically. She will be missed by us all. Be at peace our friend, wife, mother, sister, auntie and daughter.
