Obituary For Sandra Lee Flockhart

Sandra (Sandy) Lee Flockhart, 74, of Rapid City, SD passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the David M. Dorsett Healthcare Community in Spearfish, SD.

Sandy was born in Pittsburgh, PA, to William Edward and Margaret (Michelham) Yates on February 27, 1943. She graduated from Wilkinsburg High School in Pittsburg, PA. She married Ian J. Flockhart on October 19, 1962 at Winchester Methodist Church in Winchester, West Virginia. Sandy worked in the banking industry for many years in several different roles for various institutions.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ian Flockhart; sons William (Carmen) and Doug (Mary Jo); sister Norabelle; grandchildren Scott (Kelli), Joshua (Luz), Christopher (Josh); great-grandchildren Kiera, Gaige, Joshua, Cypress, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John (Jack) Yates; sister Edith Snider, and nephews John Schuetz and David Snider.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 17 at 11 a.m. at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home with Randy Bradley, Chaplain of Hospice of the Northern Hills officiating. Burial will be Monday, June 19th at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

The family of Sandy would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the caregivers at David M. Dorsett Healthcare Community and to Hospice of the Northern Hills.
