Obituary For Shirley Leeman Davis

Shirley Leeman Davis,88, Rapid City, passed away December 22, 2007.He was born February 6th 1919 in Upton, Wyoming to Leman and Gertrude Davis.Shirley graduated from Upton High School in 1937.He attended Black Hills Teachers College in Spearfish, SD until 1942.At which time he enlisted into the United States Army Aircorps and served as a reconnaissance pilot in the South Pacific during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1946.Shirley then moved to the Estes Ranch north of Wall to work the ranch.In 1958 he moved to California where he owned and operated several different enterprises.He returned to Rapid City, SD in 1983.In his retirement he enjoyed coffee with friends, sporting events, gardening, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his first wife Charlotte (Estes) his second wife Joan (Foreman) and his parents Lee and Gertrude (Widner) Davis.He is survived by one daughter Robyn Anderson and husband Richard, two sons Jeffery and Brett Davis, one grandson Jeremy Anderson and wife Rhonda, two great grandchildren Haley and Jace Anderson, all residing in Rapid City, SD.
