Siona Pati Si’a of Rapid City passed away peacefully at home surrounded in the loving care of his family on June 9th, 2026. Siona was born May 11th, 1961 at Moto’otua Hospital in Apia Westen Samoa to Auimatagi Migi Pati Si’a and Avia Lekeipa Maheleone Talagi Pati Si’a. Siona spent most of his childhood growing up in the village of Malie playing outside swimming and fishing in the crystal blue warm oceans of the South Pacific and helping with family learning all aspects of Fa’a Samoa prior to moving to the Village of Masausi and continuing his education. Siona returned to the village of Malie for some time but ultimately moved with his parents and a few of his siblings to Hawai’i where he remained until he graduated Waipahu Highschool on June 6th, 1979. Siona and family then moved to Seattle, Washington where he met Rebecca Stewart and went on to have three children and started a long career in the automotive industry amongst other things involving community service. Siona attended South Seattle Community College specializing in automotive technology and criminal justice. After working for over two decades in the automotive industry Siona moved to South Dakota with relatives away from the cities and chose a new career in landscaping where he could be outside to enjoy the refreshing air and sun. Over a decade later of landscaping Siona wanted to travel and see more of the beautiful country so he ended up attending Western Dakota Vo Tech for truck driving earning his Class A CDL and further obtaining his Doubles/Tripples and Hazmat endorsements. Siona traveled the country driving semi-trucks and had fun seeing all the different states and landscapes and would often take pictures and videos to share with his grandchildren when he returned home. Gardening cooking watching sports fishing and above all else reading the Bible to his family and spreading the word of God was his favorite things to do in life.

Parents Auimatagi Migi Pati Si'a and Avia Lekeipa Maheleone Talagi Pati Si'a, Siblings Pepe Tusipi Pula, Auimatagi Soisoi Pati AhKiong, Tauanu’u Faasegi Pati Si'a, Elia Sagale, Pago Pago Faalelea, Son Siona Si'a, Jr.

Siona is Survived by

His daughter Dorothy Si'a, His son Joshua Si'a along with his sons spouse Morgan Si'a all of Rapid City. Brothers Poe Mika of Hawai'i, Talele Pati of California, Taumaloto Pati Si'a of Rapid City and his lovely sister Urita Pati Si'a of Seattle. Bryaunah Stewart of Rapid City, Maria Mageo and Veronica Martinez both of Louisiana that he loved and cared for as his own daughters.
