Obituary For Sterling McBride

Sterling “Moss” McBride passed into the spirit world Wednesday, Nov.9th in Rapid City. Sterling was a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. Moss was an avid sports fan and enjoyed all types of sports and could recite sports statistics, team histories, and knew more about individual players and their performance than most. Sterling’s fondest memories were being on the infield of the Kentucky Derby, attending a Nascar race and sitting in the bleachers at Wrigley Field watching his beloved Chicago Cubs. Moss always said “I can die a happy man when the Cubs win the World Series”. He did in fact watch his Cubs win this year surrounded by his Son, Nephews and Niece. Sterling had a gracious, big heart and was always looking to help anyone when he could. His sense of humor was enjoyed by all that knew him. Sterling is survived by his children, Mason and Whitney McBride; Parents Doyle and Georgia McGaa, and Sisters Jonnie McBride, and Marty and Molly McGaa, As well as a large loving family and many dear friends.
