To Those Attending Services for Sylvester
Sylvester celebrated sobriety from alcohol for years, and to respect his sobriety, we ask that no one attend his services or viewing under the influence of alcohol or any hard drugs. If you cannot come sober, please do not come. You will be turned away. This is not about judgment; it’s about protecting the sacredness of this moment and guarding his soul from harm. If you choose to ignore this request, know that you are not only going against our wishes, but also against what we believe Sylvester would want. We understand that grief looks different for everyone, and we hold space for that, but please do not bring it into this gathering in a way that disrespects him or the family.
Thank you for your understanding
