Obituary For Terrance E. Vik

Terrance Eugene Vik, 69, Rapid City, died Wednesday March 5, 2008 at his home.Terry was born December 4, 1938 in Kadoka, SD to Clarence E. and Mildred (Brakke) Vik. He attended school in Rapid City graduating from Rapid City High School in 1957. He entered the US Navy on January 28, 1960, served during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged on January 16, 1964. Following his discharge, he worked various jobs as well as enjoyed life by traveling the mountainous areas of the USA.He married Judy Bauer on November 1, 1975 in Rapid City. He worked as a carpenter, most of the time on his own.Terry was an accomplished woodworker of which he was also a perfectionist. He enjoyed the outdoors by camping, fishing and hiking.He is survived by his wife Judy Vik, Rapid City; son John and wife Kelly Heintz, Rapid City, three daughters, Julie Heintz and husband Casey Engel, Rapid City; Jodi Heintz and husband Manny Siragusa, Portland, OR; Tricia and husband Matt Worland, Littleton, CO; 7 grandchildren, Derek Heintz, Tyler Engel, Evan Heintz, Jennifer Palmer, Heather Welsh, Kyrie Heintz, Banyan Worland; 3 great grandchildren, Riley, Destiny, Tristin and brother Keith Vik, Rapid City.
