Obituary For Terri Lee Britton
Terri Lee Britton, 66, Rapid City, died Monday August 14, 2006 at Fountain Springs Health Care. Terri was born April 19, 1940 to Clarence and Rachel (Hall) DeBord and grew up in the Brainerd, MN area. She married Darrell Britton and lived in various places in the upper Midwest, settling in Rapid City 15 years ago. Terri attended National College of Business and later Black Hills State College. She worked as a cook and baker at SDSM&T from 1996 until retiring in 2005. She was an artist, enjoyed flower gardening, baking, writing poetry and family was very important. Terri was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church and was an avid supporter of the Cornerstone Rescue Mission. She is survived by 3 daughters, Danna Britton; Toni Erickson; Michelle Ness; 2 sons, Randy Britton; Darren Britton, all of Rapid City; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ken DeBord, Boise, ID; Vern DeBord, Alexandria, MN; 2 sisters, Ann Holmes, Bovey, MN; Lorri DeBord, Rapid City and numerous nieces and nephews. Terri is preceded in death by her husband Darrell Britton, 1 grandson, Douglas Britton, her parents and 2 brothers, William and Clifford.
