Thelma Marie Payton, 71, Rapid City, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 25, 2015. She was born Thelma Marie Gregg in Parke County, Indiana on the 22nd of August, 1943 to Dale and Velma Gregg. She was a loving mother to Annette Anderson of Rapid City and robin Knowles of Murfreesboro, TN. Survivors also include brothers, Larry, William and Steven Gregg and sisters, Lilly Harney and Glenda Davidson. Thelma worked as a secretary her whole life, keeping businesses running smoothly and safely, with Great Dane Trailer Manufacturing Company in Terre Haute, IN, being the last of here great ventures before retiring in 2009. Thelma was a loving and kind friend, neighbor and counselor to many. She trained online in Christian Family Counseling at Vision International University and was proud of the work she did and families she helped as a result of her training.
