Obituary For Jesse Lynn Lofstrom
Jesse Lynn Lofstrom, a devoted wife, loving mother, dedicated community member, and passionate coach, passed away peacefully at the age of 42 on July 25, 2025, at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton.
Born in Fairview, Alberta, on March 7, 1983, Jesse’s life was marked by her unwavering determination, integrity, and a deep love for her family and community. Having lived in Fairview, Edmonton, Edson, and Grande Prairie, she embraced each place with her warm spirit and generous heart.
Jesse was an accomplished accountant, owning and partnering in Fulcrum Group Accounting, where her professionalism and ethical standards shone brightly. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 2001, earned her Bachelor of Commerce from Athabasca University, and became a Chartered Accountant in 2009, embodying her dedication to lifelong learning and excellence.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Jesse’s passions were rooted in sports and the outdoors. An avid volleyball player and coach, she dedicated much of her free time to coaching volleyball, inspiring countless young athletes with her enthusiasm, discipline, and unwavering support. She cherished the teaching and mentorship aspects of coaching, always striving to develop not only skilled players but also confident and compassionate individuals. Her love for volleyball extended to her personal life, where she found joy on her farm, surrounded by nature, horses, and family.
Jesse’s generosity extended beyond the court and field, as she was a true community builder, always willing to give back and lend a helping hand. Her caring nature and passion for developing others made her a beloved figure in her community.
She is survived by her loving husband, Micheal; her children, Noah (16) and Mason (14); her grandmother, Olga; parents John and Loraine; sister Amanda (Kyle); nieces Victoria and Ella; in-laws Jim and Diane; along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Grovedale Arena in Grovedale, Alberta, followed by a private interment for immediate family. After the interment, friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon at the Grovedale Community Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Neurosciences ICU at the University of Alberta Hospital (ualberta.ca/en/critical-care/research/uah_nicu.html).
