Obituary For Virginia 'Ginnie' Aker

Virginia ‘Ginnie’ Aker, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her Rapid City home on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at age 71. Ginnie was born, Virginia Rossi, on March 21, 1954 to her loving mother Phyllis Coverston.

Ginnie would do anything for her loved ones. She carried so much love in her heart. She was exceptionally supportive. She always made sure to remind her family and friends how much they meant to her. She changed and shaped so many lives in her lifetime, just by being a genuine friend and sharing kindness.

She is survived by her son Samuel Boyd and daughter Kelly Sickels, granddaughters, Katelyn Beshara, Vanessa Beshara, and Emma Beshara, and grandsons, Andrew Boyd, James Boyd, and Ray Wheeler.

She is preceded in death by her beautiful daughter Grace Rosalee Boyd.

A reception to follow her Celebration of Life will be located at Tallgrass Apartment club house 2126 E Philadelphia St, Rapid City SD 57703.

    I still remember Grace so well. I watched Kaitlyn and Vanessa for a couple years for her when she worked at the nursing home and Rapid. they came to my home for the Fourth of July and other holidays sometimes. I've missed Grace and I am sorry to hear of Virginia's passing. May she rest in peace.
