Obituary For William 'Bill' Ries

William (Bill) Ries, 44, of Rapid City, SD, died on August 26, 2025.

He was born in Germany on January 21, 1981 to Susan (Ries) Binford and Harold McLaughlin.

Bill worked as an Over the Road Trucker and found countless adventures in his travels. He was an avid animal lover and highly enjoyed model cars. His passion was in classic cars of all makes and models. Bill was also a bass guitar player in a local band.

Bill is survived by his partner, Cynthia Kissack, parents Susan Binford of Rapid City, SD, and Harold McLaughlin, of Harlem, MT. Brother Steven McCaulley, Uncle Thomas and Aunt Lisa Ries, of Rapid City, SD, and Aunt Laura Ries, of Rapid City, SD.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents David and Betty Ries and his paternal grandmother Robin Rinehart.

    I knew Bill since he was a teenager. He enjoyed visiting us as a teenager. He played bass harmonicas, and bones. He always enjoyed our BBQ's during the summer. We will miss you. RIP my friend

    Sue ,Steven and family;I'm so sorry ,I just saw Steven's post on Facebook. I'm so sorry for the loss of Bill. In the new system in paradise you will be able to welcome him back and he will be well and in good health. Sorry that I wasn't able to go online and watch Bill's service. 😭💔❤️
