Obituary For William V. Niehaus

William Vincent Niehaus, 63, Rapid City died Monday Jan. 15, 2007 at Ft. Meade VA Medical Center. William was born June 24, 1943 in Philadelphia, PA to William and Carmella (Nace) Niehaus. He joined the US Air Force July 15, 1960 at the age of 17 and served for 20 years, retiring July 31, 1980 in Rapid City. While serving in the US Air Force, he received the Air Force Commendation Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters; Air Force outstanding unit award, Air Force longevity service award ribbon with 4 oak leaf clusters and Air Force good conduct medal with 5 oak leaf clusters He was employed by the Texaco station; Sears; Ken Dehn & Sons and then H and B Automotive. In 1983 he married Mary Blair. William is survived by his wife Mary Niehaus, Rapid City; three sons, Billy Story; Danny Story; Stephen Story; four step-children, Bob and wife Becky Blair, Hagerstown, IN; Kelly and husband Jeff Myrlie, Rock Rapids, IA; Tom and wife Sharon Blair, Houston, DE; Cindy and husband Tim Hulla, Boise, ID and 4 grandchildren, Ben, Mandy, Jessie and Thadd.
