Obituary For Zola Lee

Zola Lois Lee, 92, passed peacefully in her sleep at home in Yorktown, VA on November 12, 2016. She was born on November 9, 1924. Zola was a native of Rapid City for most of her life. She loved nature and gardening and enjoyed her world travels. Zola was a “Rosie the Riveter”, during the war. Her greatest adventure was sky- diving at the age of 80. She was a hard-working, kind-hearted wife and mother. She retired from the School of Mines.Zola is survived by her son Larry and his wife Nancy of Yorktown VA, a daughter in law Barbara Lee, of Arizona and a son in law Vic Rudek of Florida. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert H. Lee, and sons, Michael and Timothy and daughter Karen Rudek. We wish to send a special thank you to Medi-Hospice Health Care, especially nurses, Tiffany and Ashley and also Dr. Jacob Almeida.
